The Company

Beyond Zebra, Inc. was established in 2000 when The Walt Disney Company closed its in-house promotional products division. Realizing the closure left Cast Members without a resource for marketing merchandise, former department head, Terri Yamate, decided to strike out and create a new AD-venture. In the process of ensuring that there would be no conflict of interest, Disney Legal became Beyond Zebra’s first client and the rest is history.

Rather than hiring from standard promotional products sources, a deeply diverse team of creative individuals was recruited from various industries. This unorthodox approach, combined with Terri’s experience in retail, product development and licensing, created a thoughtful and innovative group with quirky perspectives.

BZI has evolved over the years. We’ve moved around a bit, but are still headquartered in Pasadena, CA with a satellite office in Duarte. Throughout our growth, what has remained consistent is BZI’s extraordinary customer service.  From the smallest to the largest client, we are committed to building relationships, not just fulfilling orders.
